Refund policy

At Shineys Design, we take pride in creating high-quality handmade and personalised products. Please read our Refunds & Returns Policy carefully before placing your order.

Due to the personalised and custom-made nature of many of our products, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for:

● Change of mind

● Incorrect selections made by the customer

● Spelling errors, names, dates, or details provided incorrectly by the customer

● Colour variations due to screen settings

● Minor handmade variations that do not affect the product’s intended use

Please ensure all customisation details are correct before completing your order.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

To assist with your claim, please provide:

● Your order number

● A description of the issue

● Clear photographs of the item and packaging

Once reviewed, we may offer:

● A replacement item

● Store credit

● A refund (where appropriate)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty or damaged:

● Personalised products

● Custom-made items

● Sale or clearance items

● Gift cards

Orders may only be cancelled if production has not yet begun.

Once work has started on a personalised or custom order, cancellations cannot be accepted.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Shineys Design is not responsible for parcels lost due to incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.

If a parcel is lost during transit, we will assist in lodging an enquiry with the courier service.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable consumer protection laws.
